Associate Professor Dr John (Ioannis) A. Theodorou is a Shellfish Biologist specialized in Aquaculture, (MSc, University of Wales at Bangor, U.K.), Fisheries Product Quality Management & Marketing (Certificate, Hull University, UK) and Aquaculture Risk Management (PhD, Ghent University, Belgium). He has 25 years of industrial experience in Mediterranean Marine Aquaculture (seabass, seabream & mussels). He has participated in 30 research and industrial projects with emphasis on innovation, training, technology transfer and aquaculture capacity building. He published 50 articles and 10 book chapters. Moreover, he is Head of Fisheries & Aquaculture Department of University of Patras, Messolonghi, Greece.
