About Us

Central Fisheries Research Institute (SUMAE)​​ is an institution of the Republic of Turkey government under Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Agricultural Research and Policy General Directorate. SUMAE carries out a range of research, advisory, consultancy, monitoring and training activities on Turkey particularly in the field of applied marine and freshwater science and research providing solutions for fisheries and aquaculture at an international level. Our partnerships with governments, private sector and scientific organisations, both in Turkey and around the world, help create and secure healthy and sustainable marine and freshwater environments.
