Mr Valerio Zupo is a senior scientist and a marine ecologist currently working at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Ischia (Italy) in chemical ecology and biotechnology of marine organisms. He has a master’s degree in biology from the University of Naples, as well as a PhD in Zoology on Calorimetry of Marine Organisms from the University of Brussels. In 2016, he obtained another PhD on the career released by the UK Open University with a thesis on the relationships between food webs and biodiversity in natural communities. Mr Zupo undertook various roles with international and EU projects. He is President of the International Association for Invertebrate Reproduction and Development. He published about 200 scientific papers on journals and as book section. He is editor of a book on Crustaceans and has multiple international cooperations with various universities including Israel, Germany, Spain, Belgium, USA, France, Portugal, Australia, and Brazil.
